The brainchild of one of the RoboHawks’ members in 2014, it began as a Girl-Scout Gold Award project and has since been carried on by Team 346.

A week-long educational summer camp hosted in the Engineering Wing of L.C. Bird High School for children diagnosed with learning disabilities. Through the supervision of mentors, team members and alumni serve as the instructors of the program. As the name implies, it provides participants with the opportunity to explore guidance through building their own rockets and manipulating a LEGO NXT robot. Through the course of building, they are also able to learn team-building skills, basic engineering principles, among many other things.

This camp was created to allow students with educational challenges to explore STEM-based education as well as careers oriented around these fields.

The students leave inspired and excited to learn more about rocketry, robotics, and the engineering field in general.
